Beschreibung
Alkaline phosphatase is a hydrolase enzyme responsible for dephosphorylation. There are at least four distinct but related alkaline phosphatases: intestinal, placental, placental-like, and liver/bone/kidney (tissue non-specific). This enzyme has been linked directly to hypophosphatasia, a disorder that is characterized by hypercalcemia and includes skeletal defects. This antibody is used to detect AP and for amplification of AP reactions. Antibody is specific to PLAP and is used to detect testicular germ cell tumors.
