Renal Cell Carcinoma is a kidney cancer that originates in the lining of the proximal convoluted tubule. RCC is the most common type of kidney cancer in adults. This antibody recognizes a 200 kDa glycoprotein localized in the brush border of the proximal renal tubule; it detects primary renal cell carcinomas and metastatic renal cell carcinomas, parathyroid adenoma, an occasional breast carcinoma.
