Beschreibung
GCDFP-15 is a glycoprotein that is originally isolated in human breast gross cystic fluid. Approximately 70 % of breast carcinomas stain positive with antibody to GCDFP-15. It is used to differentiate breast carcinoma metastatic to ovary (positive) from primary ovarian carcinoma (negative). It is a marker of apocrine differentiation, including apocrine carcinoma of breast. Colorectal carcinomas, as well as mesotheliomas do not stain with this antibody. Lung adenocarcinoma rarely stains with this antibody.
