Beschreibung

CD8 (Cluster of Differentiation 8) is a transmembrane glycoprotein that functions as a co-receptor for T-cell receptor (TCR) and therefore binds to MHC molecules. There are existing two isoforms (alpha and beta). This antibody is a T-cell marker that detects cytotoxic/suppressor cells of blood lymphocytes, NK cells and most thymocytes. It is helpful in differentiation of reactive and neoplastic T-cells.
